Two police officers assaulted in Aylesbury: Man charged

Two police officers and a member of the public have been attacked in Aylesbury.

It happened in the town centre in the early hours on Sunday (17/2) and a man has been charged.

What happened?

  • The incident happened at 1.30am on Buckingham Street, outside Mirage
  • A member of the public was assaulted
  • Two police officers were also attacked

Damon Wallace, aged 30, of Chesterfield Place, Aylesbury was charged with:

  • possession of a knife blade or sharply pointed article in a public place
  • assault by beating of an emergency worker
  • attempted wounding with intent
  • assault by beating

Wallace was charged on Monday (18/2) and appeared at Wycombe Magistrates' Court, where he was bailed to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on 19 March.
