Three overnight fires in Aylesbury town centre

Three fires happened in the space of an hour in Aylesbury town centre last night.

Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue were called out to three separate incidents between 1.50 and 2.50am.

They were:

  • Fire in the open on Buckingham Street
  • Bins on fire in an alleyway, affecting guttering of a building on the High Street
  • Fire affecting the external door of a building on the High Street

Man arrested

The incidents are believed to be deliberate.

Following the third incident, at 2.43am, a 42-year-old man from Aylesbury, was arrested on suspicion of arson.

He remains in police custody at this time.
