Green Party have first councillor in Bucks

Mix96 News - Update

Published by Dan Gooding at 6:12am 8th March 2019.

Buckinghamshire has its first Green Party councillor this morning.

There was a by-election for an AVDC seat in Haddenham and Stone yesterday (Thurs).

With 50.8% of the vote, David Lyons took the seat.

It's believed to be the first time the Greens have had a councillor here.

The win is being put down to people being fed up with HS2 and over development around Haddenham.

Unless any other individual seats become available, this will be the last election in Buckinghamshire before our new council takes over next year.
