3 major planning applications will be looked at today.

Aylesbury Vale District Council's Strategic Development Control Committee are meeting at 1pm at The Oculus (pictured), The Gateway, Gatehouse Road, Aylesbury, HP19 8FF

They will discuss:

  • A proposal for a massive energy substation in the village of Bishopstone near Aylesbury. If it isn't built there won't be enough power supply to build new homes in the Vale.
  • Plans to expand Buckingham's Tesco. The supermarket wants the store to be bigger and have a larger car park, new landscaping and recycling facilities.
  • Plans to demolish Aylesbury Civic Centre, old swimming pool and multi storey car park and replace them with an open air car park.
