Damage at Stocklake junction will be removed

After two poles were knocked down at a busy junction in Aylesbury, the damage will be removed and replaced.

One parent got in touch with Mix96 after finding the damage was blocking the crossing on Douglas Road at the Stocklake Junction. 

Two poles had been knocked down and there was glass all over the floor.

Transport for Buckinghamshire has now told us:

"Transport for Buckinghamshire (TfB) is aware that two poles were knocked down at the Stocklake crossing on Saturday note.

"We were notified of this incident at 03:05 on Sunday morning and our contractors, Siemens, attended and made the area safe within two hours.

"We attended the site on Monday morning to get more details and the poles were removed on Tuesday morning.

"We are now liaising with Siemens to get the damaged equipment removed and some new poles installed."
