A teenager and a young man have been stabbed in High Wycombe.

The 17-year-old was attacked in Queens Acre just after midnight, while the 21-year-old was stabbed yesterday.

That happened on Desborough Road at around 12.20pm on Wednesday.

Both have been left with serious injuries and are still in hospital.

Then just before 1am, a gun was fired through a window in nearby Tenzing Drive.

No one was injured.

Police are linking this with the two stabbings and say they'll increase their presence in the area today.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector James Mather, based at Aylesbury police station, said:

We have been conducting a thorough investigation into these incidents, which we believe are linked, and are working to locate those responsible.

“I understand that members of the public might be concerned about these incidents but I would like to reassure people that we believe that those involved are known to each other and there is no threat to the wider public.

“People might also see an increased police presence in the area while these investigations take place. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to speak to them.”
