Two people seriously injured in Wycombe hit and run

Two people, including a nine-year-old boy, have serious injuries after a hit and run in High Wycombe.

At around 10pm yesterday (11th April), a red Toyota Prius, which was travelling along Mill End Road, was involved in a collision with two pedestrians.

A 30-year-old man and a nine-year-old boy, were taken to hospital with serious injuries where they remain.

The vehicle did not stop at the scene and officers are trying to find out who was driving.

Investigating officer, PC Tom Smith, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, based at Amersham, said:

“I would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident to please come forward.

“I would also urge anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to check any dash-cam footage.

“Anyone with information can contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference ‘43190110455’ or make a report online.

“Alternatively, you can contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
