A tent was destroyed by fire in Aylesbury last night.

It is thought it belonged to a homeless man, living in green space near Ingram Avenue and Ambleside.

Bucks Fire were called to the blaze just after 7.30pm.

There has been an angry reaction to the news on a Facebook page for the Bedgrove community.

Comments included:

Some people are so spiteful 😔

That’s the second time they’ve burnt his tent is it not!

It's guaranteed whoever did this are now nice and cosy in their houses - not left without anywhere to sleep.

It appears the tent had been donated just a day before.

Another has now been given to the man left with no shelter last night.
