Man jailed after stabbing dog in Aylesbury

Court Gavel 1

Published by Dan Gooding at 5:40am 25th April 2019.

A man who stabbed a dog multiple times in Aylesbury has been jailed.

Police were called out to an address in Aylesbury on Tuesday and found the dog with serious injuries.

They say quick action by vets mean it's in a stable condition now, having needed emergency surgery.

The man, who has not been named, was abusive to officers and members of the public.

Yesterday morning, at High Wycombe Magistrate's court, he pleaded guilty to these offences and has been imprisoned for 12 weeks.

As well as this he has also been given a ban for 5 years from owning any other dog.
