After a local photographer's successful 'Tring People' book, he's now taking the project to Berkhamsted.

In 2018, Adam Hollier photographed over 400 people in Tring.

He produced Tring People: Portraits of a Town - a coffee table book - which includes some local landmarks and lovely stories from those featured in its pages.

Adam is now delighted to announce that he is to repeat the exercise in the town of Berkhamsted.

He told us:

"So many people have come up to me since the Tring book saying they are really proud of it and it's helped cement the community, which is staggering really and a very humbling thing to hear.

"It went down so well in Tring and I would very much like to do the same in Berkhamsted."

Adam will be at the Berkofest Book Festival today (12th May) for his first pop-up shoot, from 11-11:30am.

Attendees are encouraged to have their free picture taken on the day and secure their spot in the pages of Berkhamsted People: Portraits of a Town.

Over the next few months, further pop-up shoots will be arranged in local spots, with anyone connected to Berkhamsted invited to sit for a portrait, free of charge, and feature in the pages of the final book, which will be a record of faces and places in the town during 2019.

The Tring People book project attracted over 1,000 followers on Facebook and Instagram.

Berkhamsted businesses and community groups are encouraged to contact Adam if they are willing to host one of his pop-up photo shoots.
