Plans have officially been submitted for 750 more homes in Stoke Mandeville.

Sites either side of Lower Road are already being developed, but this is the biggest site so far.

Developers asked those living nearby in January what they wanted to see and now they've drawn up proposals.

As well as the 750 homes, there would be:

  • a primary school
  • a community hub
  • green space
  • land ready for part of the new Aylesbury link road system
  • Access onto Lower Road

One interesting part of the application is that it says developers are ready for if the road doesn't go ahead.

It's planned to stretch up to the rail line, with more development expected up to Hampden Fields/A413.

If this proposal gets the go ahead it would effectively join Stoke Mandeville with Aylesbury, thanks to the hundreds of other homes being built nearby.
