UPDATE: Temp traffic lights causing delays on A41

UPDATE: We found out yesterday that roadworks had popped up on a busy Aylesbury road, which will be in place until November.

Three-way temporary traffic lights on the A41, outside the Holiday Inn, are already causing delays this morning (9th July).

The signals are at the New Road junction and are in place of the existing traffic lights.

Roadworks
The roadworks caused long delays yesterday evening

Transport for Buckinghamshire told us yesterday they will be there until 1st November.

Most routes around Aylesbury town centre are now very busy.:

  • Traffic is queuing past Arla on the A41
  • Bedgrove is incredibly busy
  • Motorists travelling away from Aylesbury on The A41 are backed up past Tesco's on Tring Road and onto Park Street
  • Walton Road and Walton Street are also affected.

Update at 1:17pm

Transport for Bucks have updated us on the roadworks.

The contractors have now got someone on site from 6am - 8pm to manually control signals to improve traffic flow.

Further discussions are planned to find a more robust way for the temporary signals to function, and TfB will update us when they have more info.

Keep up to date with all the latest traffic and travel here.
