A woman has been stabbed in the back in Aylesbury following an argument.

The 18-year-old was walking near Mason's Court early on Thursday morning, where two other women were already in a confrontation.

They both tried to steal her bag, before one stabbed her and the pair of them ran away.

After the stabbing, the woman was treated in hospital for a puncture wound.

Thames Valley Police have described one of the women as white, around 5' 7", and very skinny. She was wearing a black tracksuit top with a white stripe on the arm, and light blue skinny jeans.

The second offender is also white, of similar height and build, and was wearing a dark top and leggings.

Detective Constable Michael Bellamy, investigating, said:

"We are particularly asking anyone who may have CCTV to review their footage of the early hours of Thursday morning and please get in touch.

"Additionally, this assault happened on warm night in a residential area when people would have had their windows open and may have seen or heard the disturbance."

Police in Aylesbury are asking anyone with information to call 101, with the reference 43190210324.

You can also call Crimestoppers, totally anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
