Petition starts over dangerous parking in Tring

A new 20mph speed limit and more double yellow lines, that's what people in part of Tring want to see as they start a petition.

People living on Brook Street and Wingrave Road have had enough of dangerous parking, which has caused lots of issues.

David Houston lives on Wingrave Road, before the petition was started, he tried his own campaign on social media:

"I've seen mothers and fathers with their children in the buggies go onto the road, because they can't get past the cars on the path.

"So, we started a campaign if you like, to start parking the vehicles on the road completely.

"What that does is it opens the pathways and it slows the traffic down because they can't get past each other."

David says that often vehicles speed down the road and try to squeeze past each other, which doesn't always end well.

"That's the first thing we noticed when we moved here, that everybody's cars were being smashed regularly.

"Not only is it cars but it's people getting hurt as well.

"There have been loads of incidents of people getting hit with wind mirrors and a guy the other week had his face all cut open - it's crazy."

Now, residents have had enough and want something to do be done.

So, an ePetition has started to try and get a 20mph speed restriction and longer double yellow lines.
