Chance to form Bucks' new council's branding

We are all being asked to help put together Buckinghamshire's new council's new look.

The new branding will take over signs, busses, stationery next year, when we have just one authority.

Focus groups are being run in the coming weeks, with the invite open to all.

In a joint statement, Cllr Warren Whyte (Buckinghamshire County Councillor and Aylesbury Vale District Councillor) and Cllr Angela Macpherson (Leader of Aylesbury District Council and Buckinghamshire County Councillor), who are working with teams across all five current councils to create the new brand, explained that no design experience is necessary for those who want to get involved:

"We're looking for people from all walks of life - all we ask is that you live in Buckinghamshire.

"We are not looking for branding or design geniuses (although they are, of course, welcome), we just want a range of local people to tell us what they think, and help shape how our new council will look for the future."

There will be five focus groups held across the whole county between 29th August and 5th September, in the following locations:

Aylesbury - Thursday 29th August, 6-7pm
Exhibition Suite, Old County Offices, Market Sq.

Denham - Monday 2nd September, 6-7pm
Capswood Office, Oxford Road

Amersham - Tuesday 3rd September, 6-7pm
Chiltern District Council Office, Kind George V Road

Buckingham - Tuesday 3rd September, 6-7pm
Buckingham Library, Verney Close

Wycombe - Thursday 5th September, 6-7pm
High Wycombe Library, Eden Centre
