Police on scene of incident in Aylesbury

Police are on the scene of an incident in Aylesbury this afternoon (2nd Sep).

Hamble Drive is currently closed and they have asked people to avoid the area.

Officers have told us they will release more information soon.

Update at 5:04pm

TVP have told us a man has been taken to hospital after an altercation.

There may be an increased police presence as officers conduct enquiries.

South Central Ambulance also attended the scene, along with an air ambulance, they told us:

"There was a serious assault on an approx. 20-year-old male resulting in him suffering serious head injuries.

"Following treatment at the scene, the patient was taken by road to the major trauma unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, with the air ambulance team travelling with him.

"In addition to the helicopter, we sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance to the scene."

We've had reports the incident has now cleared.
