Bucks nurses & hospitals star in new NHS adverts

A new advert for the NHS shows staff working at Buckinghamshire's hospitals and for our ambulance service.

All the nurses and staff who appear work in our community, with familiar scenes visible in the videos.

The campaign launched 15 September with a TV commercial shown on prime time national TV ad breaks and in cinemas.

All the nurses and staff who appear in the TV ad work for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust or South Central Ambulance Service caring for the people of Buckinghamshire every day.

The advert was filmed on site at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, at Wycombe hospital and at locations in the local community.

Bucks Healthcare said they would like to thank all healthcare colleagues who gave up their time to take part and also thank patients who kindly agreed to be featured.

As well as the TV commercial, keep an eye out online for a social media campaign and watch out for posters and magazine adverts as part of a print advertising campaign.

Staff nurse from Wycombe Hospital, Ani, who is featured in the advert said of her experience:

"It was a little overwhelming having a camera focused on me at first, but I followed the advice to 'act natural' so that's exactly what I did.

"In fact, the least natural part for me was singing karaoke in a pub! I love being a nurse and if being part of this campaign will help attract more people to such a fulfilling profession, and especially to Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, then that's great."
