UPDATE: Road in Aylesbury closed after crash

Multiple vehicles have crashed in Aylesbury this afternoon (18th Sep).

We've had reports three cars have collided on Oxford Road, near to Aylesbury College, and the road has been closed.

Update at 5:43pm: The road has now reopened.

Earlier

Jam Line callers have told us the road has been closed at the bridge between Aylesbury College and Gatehouse roundabout.

Motorists heading into Aylesbury are being turned around at the mini roundabout outside the College.

While drivers trying to head onto Oxford Road are being diverted at the Gatehouse roundabout. 

There are delays on various routes because of the incident including:

  • Friarage Road
  • Walton Street
  • Stoke Road
  • Gatehouse Road
  • Coldharbour Way
  • Churchill Avenue
  • A418 back to the Ellen Road roundabout.

Update from Bucks Fire

Two fire engines were called just before 4pm to Oxford Road where two cars and a van collided.

Five adults and three children were out of the vehicles when they arrived.

Three adults were assessed by paramedics and one person was taken to hospital.

Police and ambulance crews were also called to the scene.
