Delays in Aylesbury after broken down lorry and accident

Delays are still expected following an earlier accident on Mandeville Road.

Emergency services have left the scene and you can now access Churchill Avenue, but the area is still looking extremely busy.

Reports to the Mix96 jamline told us that police closed Churchill Avenue which has lead to a number of delays.

Mandeville Road and Lower Road have been badly affected, with traffic backing up all the way to Risborough Road and Station Road in Stoke Mandeville.

The traffic was also queuing on Wendover Road and up into Aylesbury.

The jams are clearing slowly now that accident has been cleared and the road closure has been lifted.

Second incident

This incident has now been cleared.

Earlier: A broken down lorry on the A418 is also not helping traffic in Aylesbury.

A HGV has broken down near the junction with Fowler Rd/Churchill Avenue.

That's causing traffic to back up on Oxford Road, past the college and into Aylesbury.
