Princes Risborough lights up for Christmas

It's getting Christmassy in Princes Risborough this afternoon.

The town's Christmas lights are being switched on, but the celebrations start at 3pm on the High Street.

This year there is a special Christmas Market, local music and dance acts, performances from The Blend Choir & Ellesborough Silver band, as well as the dulcet tones of pupils from local Primary schools and solo singer Zoe Platt.

The Ice Rink will be back, plus a Christmas themed photo-booth, Father Christmas will of course be in his Grotto.

There will be entertainment from walkabout acts, you can see some Christmas ponies, grab some food & drink from 'carefully selected' vendors, & then join the Panto Stars from Aylesbury Waterside Theatre & Risborough's Mayor at the main stage around 5:30pm for the official light switch-on.

But the Town Council say that's not all and that Father Christmas has arranged for an extremely special guest to join the festivities, who will be travelling all the way from the North Pole and who, if not too shy, will make several appearances throughout the afternoon.
