Cancer charity's urgent appeal to give kids Christmas magic

Children with cancer in Buckinghamshire, hoping for some magic this Christmas, urgently need your help.

The Thomas Ball Children's Cancer Fund's annual trip to Disneyland Paris is in jeopardy.

That is because the Resort has not given the group their charity discount this year, after 16 years of being granted it.

Elaine Ball is the Chair:

"Because we have had a compassionate discount for the last 16 years, we just assumed it would be the same.

"Then we had the big bombshell.

"They just said they were reviewing their criteria, no explanation.

"So the trip went from £12,000 up to £22,000."

They are due to head to Disney on Wednesday, but need to find the extra cash or other projects at the charity will suffer.

Elaine added:

"The feedback from hospitals is so positive.

"It makes such a difference to the wellbeing of the families to have a bit of Disney magic and to make special memories at such a traumatic time."

They are currently on around £6k, but need to find the extra money as soon as possible.
