Buckingham shows its Christmas spirit

Buckingham is celebrating the season with its annual events today.

Today marks the Christmas fair and parade with free parking in the town centre.

The fair has stalls from local charities groups and societies, where locals can get Christmas gifts while supporting local causes.

Refreshments will be provided to visitors by the Inner Wheel.

The Vice Chairman of the Town Centre & Events Committee Cllr Terry Bloomfield said,

"I am delighted that we are again able to hold the Community Fair in conjunction with the Christmas Parade, giving everyone the perfect opportunity to support local groups with their gift buying, while getting warm and having a mince pie after the Parade."

This years parade will start at 10.45, before making its way through town and back to Chandos Road.

Marching bands, classic cards and teh Devils Horseman are among those taking part.

Road closures and diversions are in place for the parade from 10.15am and buses will stop serving the town centre from 10am.
