Missenden Abbey in Buckinghamshire held its annual Christmas fair earlier this month.

Welcoming over 2,500 people the fair raised an incredible £3,800 for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

Visitors were treated to craft and gift stalls, with amusements to keep all the family entertained.

Santa even came by and even brought his reindeer.

Suze Ward - Sales and Marketing Manager of Missenden Abbey was pleased with how well the event went

‘We had an incredible turnout this year and it was wonderful to have so many of the local community attend.

The joy in people’s faces at the sight of the real reindeer and the children meeting Santa made the day even more magical and we are really pleased to be able to support such a worthy, local cause.’

There was even seasonal food and drink, with a festive performance from Prestwood Junior School.

Katie Eyton, Community Fundraising Manager from Thames Valley Air Ambulance said:

“We want to say a huge thank you to Missenden Abbey for choosing to support Thames Valley Air Ambulance at their annual Christmas Fair. It was a beautiful sunny day in December to spend at the Abbey, and a lovely way to kick off the festive season.

"Whether we are called to a road accident in the cold and dark, a fall, a head injury, cardiac arrest or any other crisis, the only thing we can be certain of is that someone will need our help this Christmas, so thank you for thinking of us, and for giving patients the emergency treatment they need to spend future Christmases with their loved ones.”
