Two still in hospital after A41 crash

After a crash near Aylesbury on Monday, two people are still in hospital with serious injuries.

Four vehicles crashed on the A41 at Fleet Marston on Monday morning, closing the road for several hours.

A white Ford Transit van, a silver Volkswagen Golf, a blue Volkswagen Touran and a blue Peugeot 208 were involved in the collision at around 7.15am.

The driver of the Ford Transit van, a man in his forties, and the driver of the Peugeot, a woman in her twenties, sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital where they remain receiving treatment.

The drivers of the other two vehicles sustained minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.

Investigating officer, PC Ian Stevens, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, based at Milton Keynes, said:

"I am appealing for witnesses to this collision that has left two people with serious injuries.

"I would also ask that any drivers who were in the area around the time of the incident to check dash-cam footage in case it may have captured something that could assist us with our investigation.

"Anyone with information can contact police on the non-emergency number 101, or make a report online quoting reference URN 162 6/1/20.

"Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
