An Aylesbury woman has been sentenced to six months imprisonment for breaching an anti-social behaviour injunction.

Tina Lean, of Belgrave Road, was issued the injunction in September 2018.

It was granted following reports from residents of over 100 incidents of harassment and disorder.

The emergency services also reported 500 hoax calls since 2017.

On January 14, the individual was sentenced to six months in prison after seven breaches to the injunction.

This included more hoax phone calls and some false or malicious calls to emergency services.

Heledd Williams, Assistant Director of Housing at Vale of Aylesbury Housing said:

"Following a long and thorough joint investigation by our Anti Social Behaviour Team and Thames Valley Police, we are pleased the court has considered the long-term pattern of behaviour exhibited by this individual, which has had a significant impact on local residents and our emergency services, jeopardising public safety”.

The court head that the woman had called 999 and made reports demanding an urgent response, often resulting in a high speed deployment to the address.

These hoax calls were said to have caused significant alarm to residents, pedestrians and road users.

The court also heard local residents suffered harassment and verbal abuse from the individual.

Sergeant Marcus King from the Problem Solving Team for Thames Valley Police said:

“ASB Injunctions continue to be an extremely effective tool in tackling our most persistent offenders and those who generate a demand on services.

"This woman had an extremely negative impact on the community. It is through our partnership with the Trust’s ASB Team that once again we have achieved such an important outcome for local residents.”
