Some wards still have a ban on visitors

Two weeks on: Some visitor restrictions remain for Bucks Hospitals

They were put in place to prevent the spread of the norovirus and the flu.

Earlier in the month Bucks Health put restrictions on visiting rules as a preventative measure.

Although the rules have been relaxed, some wards remain off limits for visitors.

For others restrictions are in place for the number of visitors as well.

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust have provided us with this statement:

“Some bays remain closed due to norovirus and flu, therefore it is still advisable to call a specific ward before visiting.

"As a continued precaution, to minimise the spread of winter viruses still circulating in the community, we are advising limits of one visitor per day per patient and ideally no young children.

"Once again we would like to thank everyone for their continued support in helping us to prevent the spread of infections.”

These restrictions do not apply to Wycombe Hospital or to the children's wards at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

If you have any concerns at all, speak to the nurse in charge of the ward.
