Baby-friendly screenings introduced at Bucks cinema

Getting to see a film when you have a baby might not be impossible now, thanks to a cinema in Buckinghamshire.

New baby-friendly screenings, with quieter sound and brighter lighting, have been introduced by The Elgiva in Chesham.

They say they've done it to continue a commitment to accessibility.

Screenings are being deliberately tailored to parents, carers and their babies - with staff doing everything they can to ensure everyone feels welcome and comfortable.

A spokesperson said:

"These screenings are only for parents and guardians and their babies (no unaccompanied grown-ups!), so there is no need to worry about disturbing other customers while feeding, settling or cuddling your little one.

"We lower the sound and bring the house lights up slightly.

"You can bring buggies into the auditorium, but we have limited room, so if you are able to bring your baby in a sling, in your arms or in a car seat, that would be fantastic."

Adults must be accompanied by a baby to be admitted; babies are free of charge but must have a ticket.
