Aylesbury MP to focus on local services

Aylesbury's MP looking at how Conservatives can deliver on their election promises.

Rob Butler wants to focus on the matters brought up by his constituents during the election.

These focused on wider issues like Brexit and HS2, but there was also concerns over local services.

During their campaign, the Conservatives were vocal about how they would help the struggling health services.

Rob told us:

"The health service is without doubt a dominant theme in peoples concerns. That means we make sure we deliver on the promises we made as a conservative party.

"About getting the extra 50 million GP appointments across the country before the next election and making sure we deliver the tens of thousands of extra nurses."

Rob also understands crime prevention is a priority for his constituents and says its not always major crime people worry about:

"Its about anti-social behaviour, that's something I'm hearing a lot about. Anti social behaviour can be very detrimental to peoples lives.

"What can we do with not just the police but neighbourhood watch schemes and local community groups to make our community a place that is safe and secure. A place that people want to live in, work in and shop in."
