Thames Valley Police issue theft warning to caravan owners

Caravan owners have been issued a warning from Thames Valley Police after thefts.

They say the Waddesdon Neighbourhood Policing Team have seen a  number of thefts over the winter.

Particularly from farm storage areas.

Officers are patrolling these areas, and are speaking to as many owners as they can about keeping their caravan safe.

They have also shared the Caravan Club's security advice

Somethings they advise caravan owners to think about include:

  • Alarms - There are varying levels of alarm systems, some include the ability to track your vehicles location
  • Wheel Clamps - If you are not using your vehicle placing these on it can be enough to deter someone from taking it
  • Check HPI - If youre buying a caravan, checking this site could tell you if the vehicle is a stolen one
