Repair cafes coming to Bucks

Three new repair cafes have been started in Buckinghamshire.

Residents in Marlow, Aston Clinton and Princes Risborough are joining the repair revolution.

It's part of a national campaign to reduce the amount people throw away and more towards fixing items instead.

Repair cafes provide a free meeting place for people to fix items, with specialist assistance from volunteers.

The focus is to save things that would otherwise go in the bin and to reduce the impact on the environment.

However, the repair cafe movement also promotes socialising and allows people to build their skills.

People who are interested but can't find one near them are encouraged to start on for their community.

All of this while having a nice cup of tea or coffee and a chat.

The three Bucks repair cafes are:

Aston Clinton - Every second Saturday of the month from 9am till 12 noon
Marlow- First Saturday of every second month
Princes Risborough
