The Met Office have issued both a yellow and amber weather warning from midnight Saturday 8th to midnight Sunday 9th of February due to Storm Ciara.

Labelled as the worst storm to hit the UK and Ireland in the past seven years, Storm Ciara has brought winds of up to 80mph across the country and heavy rain up until the late hours of Sunday night.

Dozens of domestic and international flights have been cancelled, and Highways England are advising people to only travel if absolutely necessary.
