Macmillan's big green cancer bus comes to Bucks

The Macmillan big, green cancer bus is coming to Bucks this week.

The information bus will be visiting Buckingham, Chesham and Aylesbury.

Macmillan will be providing free cancer information and support through the mobile service.

There will be cancer specialists on hand to answer and provide information to anyone with a question.

The team are encouraging anyone with a worry to stop by- including those living with cancer or caring for someone who is.

Macmillan understand that cancer affects every part of a person's life, not just their health and want to make sure people feel supported through their journey.

They are also highlighting the financial impact of cancer, which can be especially hard at the start of the year.

  • Details of the visit:
  • Monday 24 February - 10am to 4pm Buckingham, Tesco, London Road, MK18 1AB
  • Tuesday 25 February - 9am to 4pm Buckingham, Market Hill, MK18 1JX
  • Wednesday 26 February - 9am to 4pm Chesham, near Café Nero, The Broadway, HP5 1BX
  • Thursday 27 February - 10am to 4pm Aylesbury, Market Square, HP20 1TB
  • Friday 28 February - 10am to 3pm Aylesbury, High Street, HP20 1SQ

Tina Churchill, a Macmillan Information and Support Specialist on the unit, says:

"It's really important that people living with cancer are able to access the financial advice and support they are entitled to, so they can focus on what's most important: their health. We can help signpost people to Macmillan benefits advisers who can provide free, confidential advice.
"This February we're here to answer any questions about cancer. Whether you want to know what symptoms to look out for, need advice about managing the side effects of your treatment, or want to find local support for carers, come along and see us. We'd be happy to help."
