Allstar dancers fundraising at Aylesbury Waterside today

The dance group are performing at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre tonight. 

Allstars Academy are a performing arts group who will be competing in the Dance World Cup in Rome.

The local group from Longwick in Buckinghamshire, with a site in Berkhamsted, will be competing in a range of categories at this years competition. 

However, to make it there the Allstars Academy are fundraising for the trip.

Tonight the pupils are hoping to raise some money by showcasing why they've been chosen at Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury.

 

The dancers have been selected for Team England, who are the current champions and have won the World Cup Trophy six times in the last seven years.

The international competition is an annual event which see's more than 6,000 participants from around 60 countries take part. 

Natalie Powers Principal at the academy, along with Amanda Constantinou, is delighted that Allstars will be representing Team England in Rome:

“This is the biggest dance competition in the world and for Allstars to be selected to take part is a real honour.  

"It is also fantastic for our students to qualify in a number of different sections, as it demonstrates their wide-range of talents and it’s very exciting for them to be able to showcase these on a global stage!”

They will be raising money at the two shows today, 2pm and 5.30pm, those who can't attend can donate through their gofundme page.

Local companies and organisations can also help, by sponsoring the team.
