Bucks Healthcare: Visitor restrictions on inpatient wards

Bucks healthcare has announced visitor restrictions on all inpatient wards.

Restrictions on visitors to all inpatient wards have been applied at Stoke Mandeville, Wycombe, Amersham and Buckingham hospitals.

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust have said they are also imposing restrictions to all wards to the hospitals listed as well.

It is a preventative measure to limit the spread of COVID-19.

A statement provided by Buckinghamshire trust reads:

"We would kindly ask for your cooperation in observing the following restrictions:

"- NO VISITORS to inpatients wards without prior permission from senior ward staff

"Please call ahead before making a visit to the hospital to avoid not being allowed onto the wards.

"These restrictions will be reviewed on a regular basis each day. Ward staff are instructed to inform patients and their friends and families of these restrictions for the safety of all our patients and workforce.

"Please note: If you have any concerns at all please speak to the nurse in charge of the ward who can advise on individual circumstances."
