Coronavirus deaths in Bucks hospitals

Four patients with coronavirus have died in Buckinghamshire Hospitals.

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust have confirmed that four patients at hospitals in the area have died. 

Two were being cared for at Wycombe Hospital with two at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury, two were in their 60s and the other two were in their 80s. 

All the patients, two men and two women, were admitted with underlying conditions and then tested for COVID-19, these came back positive.

“Sadly, we can confirm that 2 patients who were being cared for at Wycombe Hospital and 2 patients who were being cared for at Stoke Mandeville Hospital have died. 

"The two men and two women were admitted with underlying health conditions and subsequently tested positive for COVID-19.  Two of the patients were in their late 60s and two in their 80s. 

"The families have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time. We will not be commenting further and ask that everybody respects the families’ privacy.”
