Police release CCTV footage following Aylesbury rape

Police have released CCTV footage and images after a woman was raped in Aylesbury. 

A woman in her forties was raped in Aylesbury town centre in the early hours of Sunday morning (15/03)

It happened between 4am and 5am in the car park opposite the Aylesbury bus station, which is a private car park for the flats above.

The woman was sleeping when she was raped by an unknown man.

The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated in hospital, where she remains and is being offered support.

Officers have now released CCTV and still images of a person who may have important information regarding the incident. 

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Justin Harris, of Aylesbury Force CID, said:

“I am releasing these CCTV images, as I believe that the person pictured may have vital information that can assist this investigation.

“If anyone recognises him, or you believe that this could be you, please contact police as soon as possible.

“I would also ask that anyone with information relating to the incident gets in touch with police, and anyone who was in the area at the time and believes they saw something to make contact.

“Alternatively, you can make reports online, or anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
