Man arrested over Aylesbury rape

An 18-year-old has been arrested after a woman was raped in Aylesbury town centre.

The man, from Aylesbury, was arrested today (20/3) on suspicion of rape and is currently in police custody.

The arrest is in connection with an incident in the private car park opposite the bus station in Friars Square, when a woman in her forties was raped at a time between 4am and 5am on Sunday (15/3).

The victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital, but has now been discharged.

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Justin Harris, of Aylesbury Force CID said:

“I would like to re-iterate our appeal for witnesses to this incident, which occurred at a time between 4am and 5am on Sunday (15/3).

“Anyone with information is asked to make contact with Thames Valley Police, by either calling 101 or reporting online, quoting 43200087185.
