Mix96: Providing reassurance to Bucks in uncertain times

As many of us stay at home in Buckinghamshire during the coronavirus outbreak, Mix96 is keeping more people company.

We have been a part of your lives for over 25 years and right now we're focusing on bringing you news you can trust, entertainment while you're stuck in the house and company for those self-isolating.

Over the last few days we've seen a rise in our figures as more people are tuning in.

In the last seven days, online radio listening for Mix96 is up nearly 25% on the first week of March, including through our app.

In the same week, smart speaker listening alone has seen a rise of 24%. This includes Amazon Alexa and Google Home devices.

More people are listening to Mix96 on Smart Speakers

The free Mix96 App continues to provide breaking news alerts, ensuring the important local information is delivered quickly and directly to a users phone.

Away from online listening, local news pages have seen record numbers of readers. 

The Mix96 website has seen a 20% increase in page views this month compared to last, as audiences look for news they can trust.

There are now over 50,500 adults tuning in to Mix96 each week, according to the RAJAR numbers, which are announced each quarter.

That is 5,000 more than the last quarter and means we're beating our nearest rivals Radio 2 and Radio 4 in the Aylesbury Vale area.
