Rainbow pictures appear in school & home windows in Aylesbury Vale

Paintings and pictures of rainbows have been appearing in windows all across Aylesbury Vale, to cheer people up during the coronavirus crisis.

This week, students still attending Stoke Mandeville Combined School have been busy.

They created a handprint rainbow to put on display in the front door of the school for passersby to enjoy.

Teacher Louise Poole said:

"We are hoping that this will make passers by smile, including the doctors, nurses and vital NHS staff on their way to Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

"Passers by were already smiling and waving as we put it up earlier today. "

Several families have been doing the same and now Thames Valley Police in Aylesbury Vale are running a competition.

TVP would like to invite all children to design a poster giving advice on how they would advise people to stay safe during COVID-19.

The winner will get a special prize.

All submissions must have at least one rainbow on them.

To enter, email poster submissions to: AylesburyWestNHPT@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk no later than Friday 10th April 2020.
