Bucks turns to music during coronavirus outbreak

People around the Mix96 patch in Buckinghamshire and beyond have been recording music - to bring home important messages and to raise our spirits!

The coronavirus lockdown has had an effect on many of us and music seems to be a way for many to get through this strange time.

'Pinch Me'

One daddy-daughter duo, Peter and Melody, wrote a song inspired by current events:

Peter told us:

"I guess the hope would be for more and more people to watch the video and think twice about if they really need to be leaving there homes."

Children who have still been at school at Aylesbury Vale Academy have been sharing their hope through song, as well as this brightly-coloured rainbow in the window.

Sarah Luton, Primary Deputy Head, said:

"We have had so much fun and this project brought us so much joy.

"Thank you to our brilliant NHS staff and all other key workers who are making a huge difference in these difficult times. "

Bedgrove kids

On Friday 3rd April, Bedgrove Infant School urged us to take part in a flashmob - at a safe distance - to brighten up our Friday morning.

Now they have released a video of the children across Bedgrove joining in!

A 'sign' of hope from Tring

Finally, these school children in Tring learnt the sign language to a Greatest Showman favourite.
