Aylesbury man fundraising for Stoke Mandeville staff

Stoke Mandeville staff are receiving supplies from an Aylesbury man.

Thomas Lundie, Aylesbury, is fundraising for staff at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and has already dropped some supplies to them.

Currently he has raised ## but the current goal of the crowdfunding page is £1,000.

With this money he is buying supplies, like tea and coffee for the staff at Stoke Mandeville and delivering them to the Ambulance Station and A&E.

Thomas decided to buy and deliver the supplies after seeing an online wishlist and realising he could buy items cheaper in person and without delivery costs.

Thomas explained:

"I realised I could pick up items cheaper in my weekly shop, and I don’t mind dropping them off so they get more from the money donated this way.

"My fiancée has received treatment at Stoke Mandeville before and my brother in law is a paramedic. They work so hard all year round and now more than ever its important we look after them.

"I just wanted to thank them for all their time and help in our community. I really hope these supplies give them what they need to carry on doing the important work and know we appreciate them."

Thomas is hoping that these items will make work a little easier for the staff and show them they are appreciated in their community.

Although the current target is £1000, Thomas has said as long as the donations come in he will keep doing what he can for the staff at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
