Woman’s body found in Aylesbury

Police have informed her next of kin after the discovery on Easter Monday morning.

Woman’s body found in Aylesbury

It has been confirmed that a body was discovered in Aylesbury this morning (Mon).

A woman’s body was sadly found in Watermead Lake early on today.

A cordon was put in place by Thames Valley Police after a member of the public found her at about 6.30am.

The woman’s body was recovered from the lake and a scene watch is currently in place which is due to be lifted shortly.

Police have informed the woman’s next of kin and we are supporting them at this difficult time.  

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Dale Price, of Area CID based at Aylesbury, said:

“Today a member of the public has made the sad discovery of a deceased woman, in the water at Watermead Lake.

Our thoughts remain with her family at this difficult time.

“At this time the woman’s death is being treated as unexplained whilst we continue to make our enquiries.

“We would ask anyone with information that could assist in these enquiries to please come forward and call 101 quoting reference 200 13/4/20.”
