'We will keep on fighting for you' say Bucks Healthcare staff

Videos from staff working on the frontline of the coronavirus outbreak in Buckinghamshire show them pleading for us to stay at home.

Bucks Healthcare have started a series on their social media channels, with messages from doctors and nurses working to protect us and save lives.

One of them comes from Pippa Cook, who has been forced to move out of her home and not be with her children:

Pippa talks about her autistic daughter, who can't get her specialist support:

"My daughter is unable to return to college, so she has to stay at home.

"I want to keep her safe.

"So I have decided to move out, but I can still Skype and call my daughter, although I might not be able to see her for quite a few months."

Lucy is a district nurse.

She delivered a powerful message about the lengths staff have gone to during the outbreak.

She says:

"We as frontline staff are working for hours and hours, battling COVID-19, choosing to work through our breaks, getting sores on our faces from wearing a mask for hours at a time and we are all scared.

"Our colleagues are dying in the fight to save your lives.

"We are putting our lives on hold, so you can have your future.

"We will keep on fighting for you, but without your help we will lose this battle and more people will die - people you love, people I love."

The idea is to show the realities of working during this outbreak, with more clips expected this week.
