Latest Bucks Coronavirus figures: Tuesday 14th April

The number of cases in Buckinghamshire have been released by Public Health England.

Official numbers from the government show that there have now been 492 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Bucks.

This figure is for Buckinghamshire alone, Milton Keynes currently has 292 cases with the Oxfordshire figure at 890.

This is a cumulative figure, which means it includes those who have recovered from the illness.

The news comes as the total number of lab cases across the UK reaches 93,873.

Another 778 people have died in hospital after contracting coronavirus - taking the total number of hospital deaths to 12,107.

Today the Office for National Statistics released figures that showed 406 COVID-19 related deaths were not included in the daily NHS and Department of Health figures, which only count hospital deaths.

These are classed as community deaths, occurring in places like care homes and hospices, and those included mentioned "COVID-19"  on the death certificate.
