The Trust Charitable Fund launched the appeal on Tuesday 7 April with the support of Mix96, with the aim of raising £10,000 to provide extra support for staff during these challenging times.

Residents across Buckinghamshire responded quickly and generously with their donations for the COVID-19 Staff Wellbeing Appeal and the target of £10,000 was achieved by Tuesday 14 April.

The money raised will allow the Trust to provide wellbeing packs for colleagues who are unable to go home or who are working long shifts and enable them to provide comfortable areas for staff to sleep or take breaks in during the pandemic.

Trust chief executive Neil Macdonald said:

"The generosity and support from the local community has been outstanding. To raise over £10,000 in a week is phenomenal.

"The money will help us to provide extra support to our staff who are working extremely hard. I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated to the appeal and to those continuing to support our staff."
