Medical grab bags for vulnerable Bucks residents

Amersham residents who have underlying health conditions are being offered a "COVID-19 grab bag".

Medi-SOS is a charity which has set up the grab bags alongside South Central Ambulances for seniors, vulnerable adults and those with health conditions. 

The free of charge bags are being made to help those who in an emergency would need reponders to be aware of medical conditions.

"They were created first and foremost for communication skills. The grab bags are very very important for our first responders at the moment.

"It's absolutely imperative they have as much information as possible at their fingertips. they really really do need to know who to contact and perhaps what your problem is."

Medi SOS grab bags

Included in the bag is:

  • The information form (an A4 folded form for filling in)
  • 1 x fridge magnet
  • 2 x sticky labels form filling in and sticking on each of the poly bags (if necessary)
  • 2 x sticky Logo labels for sticking on a front door or window so that the emergency services can see them.
  • 1 x instruction leaflet
  • 1 x large poly bag with handle (everything comes in this and can be labled and reused to carry personal aids
  • 1 x small poly bag ( the stickers and the fridge magnet come in this and can be labled and reused for say hearing aids etc. to keep them safe in transit.

The grab-bags have been created by Medi-SOS but have been in collaboration with SCAS is distributing them.

Funding has come from Heart of Bucks, Chiltern District Council, Tescos Bags of Help and IBBLaw (of Chesham) along with public donations.
