Armed robbery at Aylesbury Vale village shop

There has been an armed robbery at a village shop in Aylesbury Vale.

The incident happened at the Co-Op in Steeple Claydon yesterday afternoon at around 5pm.

The store is on West Street and closed until today (Tues) as a result.

A manager posted on Facebook saying:

My team are safe and no one was hurt.

There was a few customers in the store at the time of the incident, I know the police have managed to get in touch with some of you, but if you haven’t and you read this, if you wouldn’t mind getting in touch with the police they are interested to take your details.

Thank you to everyone who turned up to help.

Thames Valley Police was called at around 5.25pm and as yet no arrests have been made.
