Lean was sentenced to a total of 24 weeks imprisonment, suspended for 12 months, after a joint operation between TVP and the Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust.

The charges relate to incidents in Aylesbury on 9 April, when Lean obstructed officers who were making an arrest and subsequently verbally abused the officers.

Then on 17 April, again in Aylesbury, Lean made a false call to police, claiming someone was stood in her way inside her home. When officers responded to the call she used foul language and threatening behaviour towards them.

Investigating officer, PC Dean Kingham, of Aylesbury police station, said:

“Tina Lean obstructed a police officer, made a false call to police, and used foul language and threatening behaviour towards police officers, who are working hard to protect the public during a period of a pandemic.

“We hope that this sentence can act as a strong reminder that making false calls and using foul or threatening language towards emergency services workers will not be tolerated.

“Thames Valley Police worked in connection with The Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust throughout this investigation to bring Lean to court.

“We will continue to work in partnership with The Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust to benefit the communities we proudly serve.”
