Coronavirus in Bucks: No new deaths reported

We have seen no further deaths related to coronavirus in Buckinghamshire.

Latest figures show no further deaths of those who have passed away with COVID-19 in Bucks hospitals.

Which means the total number of deaths reported has stayed at 83 people.

When it comes to reported cases in Bucks, as of Wednesday we have had 789 positive tests.

Which is a rise of 5 from 784 on Tuesday.

At today's daily coronavirus briefing Boris Johnson, leading it for the first time since he tested positive for COVID-19 at the end of March, said:

"I can confirm today, for the first time we are past the peak of this disease, we're past the peak and we're on the downward slope."

These deaths do not include those that happen in the community, at places like care homes and hospices.

The figure of confirmed cases includes those who have recovered from the illness.

Deaths are reported by Bucks Healthcare NHS Trust, whilst cases are reported by Public Health England by county i.e. Buckinghamshire.

Numbers are for Buckinghamshire, excluding Milton Keynes.
