Coronavirus in Bucks: Hospital deaths remain the same

We have seen no further deaths related to coronavirus in Buckinghamshire.

Latest figures show no further deaths of those who have passed away with COVID-19 in Bucks hospitals.

Which means the total number of deaths reported has stayed at 83 people, the figure also stayed the same yesterday.

When it comes to reported cases in Bucks, as of Thursday we have had 801 positive tests.

Which is a rise of 12 from 789 on Wednesday

At yesterday's government briefing Boris Johnson, leading it for the first time since he tested positive for COVID-19 at the end of March, said:

"I can confirm today, for the first time we are past the peak of this disease, we're past the peak and we're on the downward slope."

These deaths do not include those that happen in the community, at places like care homes and hospices.

The figure of confirmed cases includes those who have recovered from the illness.

Deaths are reported by Bucks Healthcare NHS Trust, whilst cases are reported by Public Health England by county i.e. Buckinghamshire.

Numbers are for Buckinghamshire, excluding Milton Keynes.
